I went to a friend's dad funeral yesterday. Her aunt started to talk to those that were present when we sat down round a table. What did she talk bout? She shared with us her testimonial. I am a Christian, but i don't really know alot about Christianity. Her aunt mentioned, "We Christian don't believe in coincidence. God always arrange e timing just right." She shared with us how when her family rushed home from e states, there was exactly 4 seats for them, n for e subsequent flights, there was not a single seats. She shared with us how when they arrived, her brother-in-law opened his eyes. She shared with us alot which to other people, may seem to just be coincident. I was touched, but i did not cry. Instead, my mind started to think through stuff as usual. Testimonial.. do i have one? Her aunt also mentioned that she once drifted away from God. When she finally did go to one service, the sermon somehow.. seems to be talking about her situation. Somehow.. i have that feeling before. I remembered once when i was kinda frustrated with my bad temper, e following sermon somehow relates to me too. I don't really remember how it relates to me. Hee~. It's somehow like literature. For example, for e novel "Lord of e Flies", when Ralph wanders into e jungle himself, his thoughts kinda reflect on the things he saw. Literature teacher could say how much a small action or chant, or whatever relates to what e writer wants to portray to e reader. Somehow.. e writer might just be writing e book as it is .. without thinking of so many things.. but.. readers n teachers could always pin point small details to mean something BIG. Some people may think, Christian is like that too. When i said i think most of e sermon kinda relates to events that are happening in my life, people may think i was trying to read INTO e context n CONVINCE myself it meant something more. Hmm.. different people have different views i think. It's time i start to sort out my thoughts.. n write my own testimonial. I have to sign up for e baptism class soon. Think registration should have started. Somehow.. my friend's aunt words kinda.. make me want to know more about God. Pray hard that i'll start reading the bible everyday. I did pray everyday.. at least that's better than nothing eh? Below is what i got from Kim's blog:
